Qi Nan, born in April 1953, professor, supervisor of postgraduates, outstanding teacher of Jiangxi province. In 1981, she graduated from the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (now renamed the China Academy of Sciences). She has been engaged in TCM teaching and clinical practice for nearly 40 years. She specializes in the teaching of basic theories of traditional Chinese medicine and has systematic knowledge, solid foundation and high academic attainments. She published more than 50 papers and over 10 works. She presided over and participated in more than 10 projects on traditional Chinese medicine and teaching reform. She is the chief editor of Visceral ManifestationClinical Practice of TCM, which has been honored as “the most complete treatise that collects all the theories on visceral manifestation from all the previous dynasties, a  profound masterwork that collates and studies visceral manifestation and clinical practices”. The masterwork completes an important project to inherit and carry forward the traditional Chinese medicine, and in 2001, it won the third prize for “Outstanding Works of the First Kanglaite Cup under China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine.”
